Voila un bouquin qui sort un peu de l’ordinaire…
Elle s’appelle Isabel Ellsen et elle a d’abord été journaliste de presse écrite au magazine Elle puis au Journal du dimanche. Depuis elle a couvert un bon nombre des pires conflits de notre temps. Son roman Le diable a l’avantage a été adapté au cinéma sous le titre Harrison’s Flowers avec Andie Mac Dowell dans le rôle principal.
Elles a rencontré les plus grands noms de la photo de guerre, de Nachtwey à Chauvel.
Ses débuts sur le terrain sont surprenants de naiveté et de folie mais aussi de courage et force.
Certaine phrases sont marquantes…”Un jour, j’ai tout quitté pour devenir photographe, photographe de guerre.”ou encore “On va à sa première guerre comme à un premier rendez-vous amoureux.”
